Abstract Submission
Abstracts are being accepted for the Magnetic North Conference, to be held June 8-10,
2012, Banff, Alberta, Canada. The deadline for submission of abstracts is
April 13, 2012.
Authors of accepted abstracts will be notified by
April 20, 2012.
Abstracts are being accepted for Contributed (20 minutes) and Invited (40 minutes)
talks, and for poster presentations. Please indicate type of presentation in the
submission email.

Please review the following instruction
- Abstracts must be submitted in English. Please proofread and spell-check the
abstract before submitting it, as it will be printed in the conference program exactly
as it appears when submitted.
- For text, use Times New Roman 12-point. Use the Symbol font for symbols and Greek
characters
- Set all margins at 1 inch or 2.54 cm.
- Maximum length of the abstract is one letter-size page (21.58 cm by 27.94 cm or
8.5 inches x 11 inches).
- Title must be in sentence case (not all caps) and bold, followed by the author's
initials and surname name(s) (underline and bold the presenting author) and followed by
affiliations(s).
- Separate Title, Author(s) and affiliation(s) by a single line space.
- include references at bottom of abstract

Please email your abstract as an attachment to mniii@ualberta.ca and note:
- The subject line of the email should appear in this format:
Abstract_LastNameofFirstAuthor.
- The filename of the attachment should be:
Abstract_LastNameofFirstAuthor.pdf.<
Allocation of talk or poster presentation will be based on the submitted abstract.
If you have a strong preference please indicate it in your abstract submission email.
Please prepare your posters to fit within a one (1) metre wide x 1.5 metre tall format
(portrait orientation).
